One is the starter typically will not wait very long for both bikes to pre-stage and urge them forward. The second is due to the way the tree works. After both bikes pre-stage, as soon as one bike trips the stage light, a timer starts allowing the other bike 7 seconds to stage. If they do not make it in the allotted 7 seconds the red light comes on.
