Triples are a hassle with using Nvidia surround and hard to use for anything other than racing assuming you are past the desk stage of racing and have a rig. If you have can dedicate a pc to racing or at least have a separate desk space they are awesome. Great way to race, allows you to look around and use additional monitors for lap info and ...

I went back to triple 144hz for any long sessions. The near space 3d is truly amazing and immersive, but the inability to clearly see anything at a medium+ distance sucks. ... My triple monitor stand was a day away, so I had to make do with ikea end tables and dvd cases for fine tuning height adjustment lol. After playing around with DOF ...

Brendan Little. Mar 6, 2015. #4. Love my triple screen setup, wouldn't be able to go back now for anything, sim racing, flight sims, hell even supreme commander is better with the triple screens. Gives you so much more immersion in the game then you would normally on all sim style games.

ACC does have proper triple screen support, so there's no stretching on the outer screens like in the F1 games or DR2.0. However, on the topic of those, I find the extra FOV more helpful than any bother I get from the stretched outer screens, so I use my …

VR frustration and maybe going back to triples : iRacing

A lot of racing series requires the occasional tuning of a TC knob, ABS setting, or ARB stiffness. So you do have to "futz around" a little bit. But I agree that a lot of people are too caught up in looking at gaps, deltas, and fuel etc, things which their race engineer should do for them (which is also why team racing is so awesome).

The immersive experience that it offers truly is second-to-none, with many converts of the opinion that they could never go back. That being said triple monitor setups are still a very popular option, with many racers enjoying the peripheral vision it offers. Similarly, this is something that can be very enjoyable about using an ultrawide monitor.

VR vs Triple Monitor : simracing - reddit.com

Yeah i think it depends on the person. I have a VR headset but rarely use it for racing. For me Id rather have a triple monitor setup just because I can play longer with triple monitor and I like seeing my sim racing gear. But having said that I don’t have space for triple monitor and just race on a single 27” monitor 90% of the time.

PS3 GT6 multi-monitor "arcade" driving rig - Arcade Controls

Personally I wouldn't bother with the 3 monitor setup anymore as Oculus Rift is the future. I just can't go back now after using mine to 2D monitors on a racing rig such as this. The immersion is awesome and beyond anything ive ever experienced on my old triple monitor but hopefully this works out awesome for you bud only giving extra options!

For what's essentially a glorified lawn chair it's been performing surprisingly well. Very stable and comfortable, even after hours of racing. And before people ask, I'm in NYC where space is super limited so a semi-permanent rig setup like the Next Level Racing or GT Omega wasn't an option unfortunately.
