yea on the first page of your "Options" screen in game you can set to auto clutch. For the MX-5, it probably doesn't matter which you choose.

Turn off the stupid auto clutch? Hello! Ever since I began to play iRacing, I knew that something was up because it didn't stall when I would throw it into gear. I am wondering how to turn this off because it's really starting to become a nuessence, and it takes away from the realism that iRacing can support, in my opinion.

Some cars transmissions have auto clutch if you rev-match. :) Skip Barber (Can upshift without clutch, downshift at a server rev), NASCAR Series cars (Jasper Transmissions Yo), and a few other cars do allow for you to match. An example of one that doesn't, i believe, is the Mazda MX-5. #5. LithiumFoxTTV.

When you move the shift control, you are telling iRacing that you are beginning to engage the gear, not that it has already been engaged. If you release the shift control before the shift completes, you may not have even left the current gear yet, or may end up in a neutral between the two gears.
