The Dodge Challenger race mod can win it when upgraded, it can bit a little tricky to drive though. It helps a lot to exit and re-enter the event until there are no Chaparral 2Js or Toyota 7s in the opposition too - they're both old Group 7 racers and way faster than any other opponent.
