Doing different rolls, out the hole some, turns, etc. It is so much better than stock, it hooks up really nice and the shifts are so much smoother. As for acceleration it def. gets through the RPM's quicker. (10lb flywheel) I don't know if its actually any FASTER, but it feels it .

1 2 3 Next Dtackett New Member Jan 4, 2011 #1 So I just installed the F1 racing stage 1 clutch in my 93 ls. While I have only drove a few hundred miles on it so far I am fully satisfied with it. There is so much more grip and jump off the line now. It's smooth in and out, allows smoother shifting and smooth acceleration.

Its not too jumpy for traffic, but I can still chirp the tires in third gear when accelerating hard. being a full disk (not a 6 puck or anything like that) it gives a nice compromise between straight up racer, and daily driver. I'd say it's about the highest performance clutch you should get, if you plan on driving your car to work.

After the install, the clutch pedal felt about the same as the original clutch, maybe a little heavier pedal. The engagement of the disc is a lot different from the slippery worn out clutch, but it is not unmanageable. The clutch play is a lot tighter and it is easier to get "chatter" with this clutch.

I use a $75 ppc xtreme pressure plate with a act 6 puck. Holding about 250hp with many launches on drag radials slipping the clutch off the line. Had a F1 racing clutch in the past too it held around 220hp for a bit before starting to slip. The discs are pretty crappy on these clutches that's why u go with act.
