The ESP sprint boat track is designed to take these jet boats to speeds up to 90mph, pulling 7Gs around each turn in 3 feet of water. A pre-determined racing path is created and racers/navigators must follow the correct sequence through the course. Race fans can view the event all along the perimeter of the track.

Jetsprint or sprint boat racing is a form of racing in which a crew of two, a Driver and Navigator, race against the clock through a series of twisting, narrow channels in less than 4 feet of water. Driver and Navigator must memorize the “rotation,” or sequence of turns that must be executed in the correct order. The rotation is different for each day of racing.

Lake Lucas is the World's first purpose-built drag boat racing lake located at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. The lake is approximately 4,000 feet long and 400 feet wide. The water is nearly 8 feet deep. Drag Boats vary in speeds maxing out at over 200 miles per hour in the Top Alcohol Hydro division on this lake.
