    BSCRA Nationals The 2020 1/32 Nationals was to have been held in 3 parts, only the Clubmans event was held before the Coronavirus lockdown. The 1/32 Nationals for the 3 Open Classes has been postponed to 2021 The 1/32nd National Championship events are held at our National Centre in Corby.     The British National Model Car Racing Championships have been held every year since 1961. From 1961 to 1963 this was held for rail guided cars, it changed over to slot in 1964. At first the slot racing championships were only for 3 classes, 2 classes for individuals plus a club team championship, all for 1/32 scale cars.

Slot cars are usually models of actual automobiles, though some have bodies purpose-designed for miniature racing.

    The circuit diagram (below) is typical "normal British". This circuit allows adjustment of the controller to suit the car:- it's relatively simple (simpler = less to go wrong and easier to work out what to fix it if it does go BANG! However, there is no protection against excess currents damaging the transistor.
