I think it should be something like double-tapping to guaranteed switch between PRE and SCM and a press and hold to switch to CRU. Too many times I've tried to make a fast parallel style park only to take off and nearly hit solar panels because my throttle wasn't pulled back enough and I went into CRU instead of PRE.
