The Iron Bar is on the main strip in Port Douglas and it is famous for the cane toad race which takes place twice a week. We went for the Thursday night race. If you wish to participate in the race, you get a ticket from the waitress and hope your number is drawn from a hat. There were 3 or 4 rounds of racing.

I'd imagine during the Peak Season that hundreds of people would gather round to watch people effectively try to get toads to jump off a table, but with a group of under 40 it made for a strange time.
