While you give up a little on the dry boiling point, Castrol SRF has a significantly higher wet boil point and will give all around better protection from brake failure.

We use SRF in a Daytona for track events, worth it for safety. Not sure what additives they use to get the boiling point up, but the SRF and Motul 660 gets past my seals just a bit. We use Motul 600 or Ate Blue in our race cars.....as long as we bleed often we don't have any problems with the 600/Ate.

That being said, $70 a liter for brake fluid is astronomical! I never leave brake fluid sit on the shelf after opening the bottle. When I flush, I do all 3 reservoirs and use the entire bottle. If Castrol offered this in a smaller quantity, I'd give it a go. EDIT: If it was just a heat issue, the ebrew heat shield would be a very successful mod.
