The Hooker headers were 1-3/4" primary and 3" collector. The Crites are 2" primary and 3-1/2" collector. I expected the Crites to make more top end power, but they made more power everywhere in the rpm range. I think it is because the primary tubes on the Crites headers are very long. They are not anywhere near equal length, but the are long.

People have told me that if you talk to Charlie Crites it is much different but getting thru to him is very difficult. 63 Fairlane 500 tudor sedan 10.44/131 so far thru the mufflers. 10.29 with open exhaust. Have tried to contact them by email in the last couple of weeks to get a set of headers for another project and have not had any reply. Has anyone heard anything about Crites?
