    Aerial view of the Los Angeles Speedway in Culver City, which was in existence as an auto racing venue from December 14, 1924, until March 6, 1927. Its 1.25-mile wood oval turns were banked 45 degrees. It was built by Jack Prince and Art Pillsbury. Red Cariens was fatally injured there on November 29, 1925. The site later became movie studios.
