So I'm looking to turbo my Y8, but I'm on a budget. I want to do a simple build to run a max of 8lbs of boost because I don't want anything crazy to where I need to build my internals. I saw a vid on YouTube by CxRacing where they boosted a d16 on stock internals. According to the video, on 9.5lbs of boost, it was pushing 220whp.

It was a good little turbo, but in hindsight I would have had the wastegate ported. I felt that it's volumetric efficiency started suffering at the high RPM's. All in all though, very similar to the F4-L. Actually, the F4-L may flow a little more on account of Slappy opening up the wastegate on his turbos.

Posted July 20, 2013. Thats a bit of a shame. I knew Kevin (Indeed the man in charge) from yeeaarrss ago and have used a small handfull of their parts on both of my cars (Ae86 and S30)- with zero issues to date. Im also running a cx racing turbo on my Z- An oldie t3/t4 hybrid style turbo.
