The stock springs with the 18's gave a loud almost annoying ride, with the D2's its a much more responsive yet smoother and quieter ride. I'd assume that it would be even nicer a ride with the stocks wheels back on. Handling is much improved as expected with lowering springs, very little dip or rise with acceleration and braking.

Totally different drop heights. You are comparing apples to oranges. You need to first determine what drop height you want. The H&Rs are what I would consider a mild drop whereas the D2s are a big drop. Also, the rear is already lower from the factory. I'm not sure why the D2s lower the rear more than the front.
