Dario Resta (born 17 Aug 1882 Faenza; died 03 Sep 1924 Brooklands Circuit, England). Italian born, but English based for much of his life and career, having moved to England aged two years old. Became the first European to win a major US championship. Started racing and winning in 1907, and in 1912 became Sunbeam's official driver which led to continued success.
