Nl'akapxm Eagle Motorplex was a ¼ mile IHRA -sanctioned dragstrip located near Ashcroft and Cache Creek, British Columbia. The motorplex was begun in 1980 on the Ashcroft/Cache Creek Aero Club's old airstrip by Les Edmonds, the leader of the Ashcroft Indian Band.

We never like to hear about another track lost for whatever reason, but unfortunately we find ourselves having to report that the Nl’Akapxm Eagle Motorplex drag strip near Cache Creek, British Columbia has closed down after facing years of financial issues, staff losses and reduced car counts. Western Canada’s top IHRA racers were on hand for the Division 6 season opener over the weekend at the NL ‘Akapxm Eagle Motorplex in Ashcroft, British Columbia with the usual hitters quickly rising to the top. Four of the seven Division 6 champions from 2012 found victory lane during the two-race competition headed by double winner Mark Faul.
