Since Exedy makes the stock clutch I didn't think it'd hurt to stay with them - Subaru chose them for a reason. While this stage 1 organic certainly has that left leg strong feel about it, it is still similar to stock as far as release & engagement (at least in my perception). But it does engage quicker, stronger & faster than stock.

exedy stage 1 clutch set is nice. its currently in my N/A de, but was on my DE-t with a basic t25 setup. never slipped onced, three runs at a track dumping the clutch and still holds great. but i fell in love with my ACT heavy duty pressure plate and 6 puck, so **** stick to ACT for now on. but overall, the exedy stage 1 clutch set is good.

Ok, got my exedy stage 1 clutch and exedy light flywheel installed and running on my Si. Runs great, like stock clutch, a tiny stiffer, but comfortable. The combo must be working, the transmission is smooth as butter and quick throttle response. My wife even drove my Si and said it is smooth now when I shift gears!
