Dtackett New Member Jan 4, 2011 #1 So I just installed the F1 racing stage 1 clutch in my 93 ls. While I have only drove a few hundred miles on it so far I am fully satisfied with it. There is so much more grip and jump off the line now. It's smooth in and out, allows smoother shifting and smooth acceleration.

I was looking to get a new clutch. After some research, I found mostly positive reviews on a Stage 2 Clutch and lightweight flywheel from F1 Racing. Pretty much a knock off of exedy I would think. I went with the stage 2 because it seems a lot more reliable than their Stage 3 kit. Friend of mine installed it for about 300.

I use a $75 ppc xtreme pressure plate with a act 6 puck. Holding about 250hp with many launches on drag radials slipping the clutch off the line. Had a F1 racing clutch in the past too it held around 220hp for a bit before starting to slip. The discs are pretty crappy on these clutches that's why u go with act.

Now onto the single mass flywheel from F1 racing. The flywheel is their own design and weights in at 16lbs vs the dual mass at 24lbs. The flywheel includes replacement bolts for bolting the flywheel to the crank. They are 10.9 harden bolts. Enjoy my initial findings and reviews of this clutch.
