How to Measure Neck Relief on Guitar or Bass - Fender

    https://www.fender.com/articles/how-to/how-to-measure-neck-relief-on-guitar-or-bass
Only two tools are needed to check neck relief — a capo and a feeler gauge. It’s pretty straightforward. Affix the capo to the first fret and depress the high E string at the last fret (G string on a bass guitar), or where the neck joins the body (often the 17th fret on Stratocaster and Telecaster guitars).

neck/body alignment on fender basses - TalkBass.com

If your bass looks like the one on the Fender website all is fine. Fender goes for equal spacing from the edge of the fretboard to the outside of the E and A string. From there they go for equal spacing between the strings, not center to center. Because of the wider strings in the lower registers it makes everything move over a bit off center.
