It works, not spectacularly, but it works. It's not perfect, it's a bit bouncy and I wish it had compression adjustment. It makes the bike roll smoother, so it works. Soon or later I'll be getting it PUSH'd, I'll see how it works after a bit of TLC. I mostly used it for DH and FR, with a little bit of XC thrown in. Similar Products Used:

The Vanilla is a very responsive fork. Easily adjustable for travel. The lock out works great on long climbs. Along with adjustable rebound and compression, it's like butter over the small stuff. Like roots aren't even there. I have truly tortured this fork on some pretty big stuff, yet not a hitch. Great XC fork. Cons none Reply | Thank View more

Fox Shox Float RC Older Rear Shocks user reviews : 4 out ...

When new it had a great feel on hills and enabled lock out for more efficient climbing. Weakness: Air pressure drops from 180 to under 100 in less than 1 hour which makes the shock completely useless. Not worth it. The hassle of having to carry a shock pump with you, in order to pump it back up to riding pressure, is just not worth it!

The major feature of the RC as opposed to the lessor models is hte increased fluid displacement and bigger piston in the resevior (that keeps it pressurized), it is definitly a better shock than the R model, but the "C" part of it is really not that important or usefull.
