That Fulcrum is basically a clone of the Campagnolo Hyperon. It's only about 50 grams lighter than the Shimano wheels, wouldn't brake as well and isn't any more aero. Unless you just have to ride carbon wheels, I don't see much point to it. If you want carbon clinchers, you're probably best to look at Reynolds or Edge.

My fulcrum racing 3 which is lower grade seems to perform better, Of all the wheelset I have herein mentioned which is still in usage, I found that the Shimano dura ace c50 is the best. It's feel fast, light & keep rolling.

by poppiholla on Wed Feb 29, 2012 1:48 pm I have a Fulcrum racing 1 wheelset. It is about 6 years old. It is still in good chape and i had no problems until now. I always used Ultegra cassettes on this wheelset, but today I wanted to mount a Sram PG 1070 cassette and I does not fit. I was very surprised.

Rim Wear Advice Fulcrum 1 | Cycling Forums

The rear wheel of my Fulcrum Racing 1 wheelset is starting to show signs of wear with the rims now a definite concave profile. Does anybody have any advice on how to judge when it is time to replace the rim/wheel? As far as I know there is no wear indicator on Fulcrum 1's but I may be wrong, Thanks Anthony #1 Outlook, Jan 25, 2010 Tags: tafi Member
