    The track was renamed Harold Park in 1929. The original dog track was located inside the present trotting and greyhound tracks where the car park is now. The track was grassed with an outside lure suspended on a long steel pipe which jutted from under a corrugated iron cover. Racing distances were 440 yards (402m) and 680 yards (621m).
