Mijas Hipodrome Costa del Sol Race Course which was opened in 1999 and boasts a race track which is 1.700m and 1.600 m long and 25 metros wide. The Racing initially took place in the cooler evenings and then out of season at selected summer weekends up to 2013. It has not held races since 2013 due to financial dificulties.

When Is The Horse Racing On? The racing is run at different times of the year. Summer meetings are during the months of June, July and August and mostly run at night from around 10pm. There are also 6 meetings from September through December on a bi-weekly basis. Winter meetings are normally held from 11am with the doors opening at 10am.
