Gerk was also a racing legend with his career starting in Rockford, driving the classic ?57 Chevy #34, and later the #07 car. He raced at many tracks over his career including Daytona & Milwaukee. Gerk was a member of NASCAR, Vintage Racing, USAC, and Hurricane Hot Rods. Many of us in the IMCA Old Timers raced with Gerk over the years.

I found this video on youtube of a car dealership in Michigan selling the car for $70,000. That was around 2013. I emailed the dealership also. In the video there is an IMCA Old Timers sticker and antique auto racing association registered sticker on the car.
