It's been a long time since i've raced, but they used to blow off all the dust, then spray some kind of sticky compound on the ground. They are regular, molded (most expensive), and dual staged foam.

I've wondered this myself, foam nitro tires would kick ass on an electric TC on asphalt!! Especially parking lots, where the course asphalt eats away at rubber tires and inserts, yet you can watch nitro guys go for 20 minutes on a set of tires. Plus, if you aren't carefull you can "cook" a set of rubbers in only a run or two, and that's only with a 10.5!!
