The Groove-O-Matic is a very easy to use tool, I have one and I've used it to O ring a 460 block. If you're using a composite gasket I would place the ring right at the outside edge of the fire ring on the gasket. You will have to buy the big bore shoes for the tool too so that it will work on the Big Ford's large bore diameters.
