    The Mk VII was supplied with drum brakes all round as was fitted to the original C-Type racers but by 1953 Jaguar had developed discs for these race cars. The Mk VIII was similarly braked. With the launch of the Mk IX in 1958, Jaguar moved to disc brakes all round on this road car.
