The Large Gazehound Racing Association sanctions straight, or sprint, racing, in which a group of up to four Deerhounds will race on a straight, flat track for 200 yards. The lure consists of two white plast ic bags and a furry squawker which makes irresistible noises as it bounces along the track. Hounds earn points toward the Gazehound Racing Champion title.
