Heat is the auto trans killer and with drag racing it is over quick. Road racing generates so much heat. 99% of track cars are standard trans. All road racing (actual racing) cars are standards. Several guys that are handicapped have tried the autos and smoked them so they went to sticks and very custom hand controls.
