Here is a Used Oil Analysis of Lucus 20W50. The oil was run for 1500 miles in air cooled v-twin. As you can see the SUS Viscosity is 60.3 which means it broke down to a 30 weight oil. If it was still a 50 weight it would have had a SUS Viscosity of 83.1,and 10.29cst is closer to 30wt than the 12.5cst of 40wt.

He has over 1,000,000 miles on a bike. He said "I use 4 quarts of AmsOil Synthetic and (believe he said) 1 bottle of Lucas oil treatment. He's had more than one bike in the last 40 years and has been using Lucas since the day it came out. The most recent bike he has 84,000 miles on it and it's never burped a bit.
