The Mooringball Run is back with a May 1st to October 31st window, the Donzo Wednesday Night Race Series runs May 25th to September 7th, Mudnite Madness is July 29th and the Benefit Cup for Always Home is July 16th.

    The Mudhead mission statement says it all: “Promote camaraderie and fun among members by encouraging competitive sailing, managing quality races, fostering member participation in racing at all levels, and hosting memorable social events.” The club owns nothing but a 30-foot committee boat and a portable dance floor.

    In 1976, the Mystic River Mudheads club was established in an effort to promote sailboat racing and camaradie. Since that time, the Mystic River Mudheads have developed a “race hard, play hard” reputation regionally, nationally and overseas. It is in that same spirit that the Wickford Mudheads were established in 2010.

    Series Format - Racing to be held on Thursday afternoons, starting at 5:15 PM. Each race will have a targeted duration of 15 minutes. If there are lees than 10 competitors on a particular evening, all boats will race together. Should there be 10 or more boats, the fleet will be divided into A and B fleets, racing alternately.
