The Gaming Commission regulates all horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering in New York State. New York State currently features both Thoroughbred and Standardbred horse racing where pari-mutuel wagering takes place. There are four Thoroughbred tracks and seven Standardbred (harness) tracks in the state.
