Oliver’s Mount – April 2022 Update We are continuing to work closely with Scarborough Borough Council and The ACU to get racing back on at Oliver’s Mount. We all want that to happen as soon as possible. SBC completed the planning process to demolish the buildings in January.

Between 1946 and 1990, the 2.43-mile Oliver’s Mount circuit remained exactly the same in its layout and the years naturally saw the outright lap record increase. Geoff Duke was one of the first great riders to hold the record, his lap of 2m05.4s on the factory Gilera in 1955 standing for seven years before it was beaten by Peter Middleton.

This year’s Spring Cup at the Oliver’s Mount circuit in Scarborough has been cancelled as work at the track will not be completed in time. Some older buildings at the Yorkshire venue had to be demolished on safety grounds but time is running out, so organisers have taken a decision to bin the season opener. A statement reads:
