The difference was startling, as the peg tooth blade literally cut twice as fast as the raker according to my stopwatch. I also did a test against my Wetterlings made Husqvarna Multi-Purpose Axe and to my suprise, the peg tooth saw cut through a 8" log about 40 seconds faster than the razor sharp Husky axe.

I thought it might be of interest to measure the specs on the saw as compared to how I normally file a crosscut saw. The saw was 6.5' long and weighed 14.5 lbs. The flat blade was 0.10" thick with tooth set at 0.018" and raker depth 0.011".
