    The 1.8 L (1,798 cc) Pinto engine was introduced in 1984 as a replacement for the "old" 1.6 L. The engine had an 86.2 mm (3.39 in) bore and 76.95 mm (3.03 in) stroke giving the displacement of 1796 cc. Output was 66 kW (89 hp) of power and 140 N·m (100 ft·lbf). Fuel was supplied by the Pierburg 2E3 28/32 carburetor. Applications:
