    In 1954, when the Pittsburgh Racing Association (PRA) started, Herb wasn't a regular campaigner. PRA has a rule that if you were a member, you were not allowed to go somewhere else to race. So, Herb would sneak down to West Virginia and use another name. Eventually he got caught and was suspended for a couple weeks.
