    Replied by FrankC on topic Dt 400 performance improvements So as Piston starts to descend down we get pressurization of the crankcase and air is forced back into the intake as well as the transfers. The windows in the Piston are okay, but as previous need to be raised.

    Hi, needing some advice. Just finished restoring a DT 400 (1975) . Took it out or a shake-down. It runs rough at low speeds, 20mph (+/-) and then runs very smooth above that. It had about 100 miles on it, when I bought it. It has a Weisco piston/ring in it. Should I move the needle up or down? Jets? It also has a D.Meis sleeper pipe on it.
