    It was a brisk but sunny 20° at the start of the Racing Gnome 5k Snowshoe Run. I intentionally started with no gloves, no hat, only a light wool shirt, and a thin waterproof jacket. Less than half way through the race I was already overheating. This is snowshoe running. I knew that I would only get warmer as we were at the start of the big climb.

Frozen Gnome 10k/50k

    The Frozen Gnome’s beautiful single-track course will take runners through the winter wonderland of Veteran Acres and Sterne’s Woods. Folks may choose either the 50K ultra run or the 10K race for speedsters. Gnome doubt about it, both courses will be tough. The course is a 10k loop that will be repeated 5 times by the 50k runners.
