    On a driver build that should be enough clearance, provided that is actually what clearance you have. Eagle cranks are notorious for not having round journals or having taper. I would be a little apprehensive of only checking with plastigauge. On the oil, I would use a good 5W30 mineral oil to start within the temps. you guys have up there.

    Buy a Mic and check your-self. Plasti-Gauge is a good indicator. When you start to put the engine back together make sure to rotate the crank after every rod is torqued to make sure there is no bind. Plus the crank should spin nice and free when all the caps are torqued but before the rods are in. This is the fun part.
