    Road Racing Since the 1930s, Skerries has been a hub for motorbike road racing. In 1930, the town hosted the Leinster 100 on a 13-mile circuit through Skerries, Lusk and Rush. In 1931, the race became the Leinster 200 and was held until 1935, attracting motorbike legends such as Stanley Woods, Jimmy Guthrie and Walter Rusk.

The inaugural race was around a 7.1-mile course through Skerries, and today a 2.93-mile circuit is used just west of the town centre. The Skerries 100 attracts about 65,000 spectators each year.
