About The Competition - Thistle Class Association

    https://www.thistleclass.com/about-the-competition/
Thistles sail as a Corinthian class, which means you won’t be sailing against boats with paid crew members (or a paid driver). And A Helping Hand One of the unique things about Thistle sailors is their willingness to share tips and tricks. Whether it’s official, impromptu or casual talk around the boat, someone’s always happy to help you improve.

How to Avoid a Death Roll in a Thistle - Thistle Class …

Unfortunately more and more sailors, clubs and/or venues over the years have chosen not to race Thistles in more than 15-18 knots which is a shame as the Thistle is an absolute blast to race in the low to mid 20 knot range as long as you know what you’re doing. – Mike Gillum #926, #1010
