Yes, I have been using a trans brake/line lock combo for years. To me it is vital for consistent staging. And this is not limited to rear brake only setup, all drag cars can benefit in the same way. After making the change you notice the car sits exactly still, will not move at all. And that is a very good thing!

My take on it is what we do. Typical auto trans bracket car will use a linelock spliced into the front brake system. Pump the brakes up, hold them, engage the linelock button, let go of the brake pedal and proceed to heat the rear tires. As mentioned heating basic street tires is really kind of worthless.
