Begin your cut with one bushing on each side of the ejection port. As material is removed, the bushings push out of the raceway and the tool "self-pilots" on its major diameter. Once the bolt raceway is cut to the tool diameter, the reamer can be used as a mandrel for centering the receiver in the PTG Action Blueprinting Fixture.

The full diameter bolt design was used on the Hall custom benchrest action, and currently used by BAT on their 3 lug actions. Both use a milled slot down the side to guide the bolt, which the bolt release rides in. The Hall was a two lug and the BATs are 3 lug. Both machined the lugs into the body of the action, not on a barrel extension.

Arisaka action 6.5mm.Load appears to be 10gr. 2400 & 60gr 3031. @ 140 gr. Barnes bullet. "Barrel split from breech to a point about 6" from muzzle. Receiver threads ruptured from split barrel. Locking lugs OK. Very little apparent setback in action, exclusive of ruptured threads due to ruptured barrel. Action still serviceable. (my highlights)

In trying to insert new Bolts into the raceways, only to find out neither will start into action but a very short distance < 1.00". What is my options in using these Bolts as I've allot of money in them already. 1) Can the raceways be measured and the Bolt lugs turned down! 2) Open up race ways for uniformity!
