This home movie captures a series of drag races at the Green Valley Raceway in North Richland Hills, a suburb of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, in November 1966. Spectators enjoy races between stock cars and dragsters, as well as the spectacle of a pickup truck popping wheelies in reverse. Green Valley opened three years earlier in 1963.

Green Valley was a fun track to compete at. I really liked the treed area in the pits where you could actually park in the shade if you got there early enough. Anyone remember the old DIMS (Dallas International Motor Speedway) up around Lewisville? It was ahead of its time for a track but unfortunately shortlived.
