The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission is the state agency empowered by the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act and the Kansas Pari-mutuel Racing Act to regulate state owned casinos and pari-mutuel racetracks in Kansas. The commission is comprised of 5 member appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate for staggered four-year terms.

Governor Laura Kelly of Kansas has signed a bill to legalise and regulate sports betting and historical horse racing machines.
