I'd say that the "colour" of MINI BRG was very dependant on lighting conditions and viewing angle, but for the most part it's a dark forest green - hard to describe it as emerald in anything other than bright sunlight and at a particular angle.

Pity the "British Racing Green" colour available on the MiNI is not actually a classic colour. It is metallic and very different to a real BRG! It is a very nice colour though, and the spec of your car sounds great. Beat me to it Ken, I used to work in the Grampian Transport Museum, and I've polished a few BRGs in my time.

I have BRG with a black roof, but no bonnet stripes. Wouldn't have anything else. Especially if you get a sunroof, the black roof looks good and seamless. It also balances out the black fenders and trim. I LOVE my green car. Don't know about black stripes on BRG. I've never seen it (aside from the icons here at MINI2).
