The convention for assigning signals to courses is: The number relates to the number of beats in the course. An inner trapezoid is 'I'. An outer trapezoid is 'O'. A windward leeward with a finish after the last run is 'L'. A windward leeward with a finish at the windward end of the course is 'W'. A Sausage Triangle with a leeward finish is 'STL'.
